Textism Tool: Textile Review
The Textile Tool on the Textism website is fantastic. It takes your regular old text and turns it into HTML for you. Some of the advanced features it automatically uses include:
- Replace double hyphens (–) with an em-dash (—) entity.
- Replace triplets of periods (…) with an ellipsis (…) entity.
- Convert many nonstandard characters (Ÿúߊ?Œ) to browser-safe entities corresponding to keyboard input.
- Apply block- and phrase-level structural tags automatically and at the discretion of the writer via quick tags.
- Allow the quick creation of simple and complex tables.
I use this free tool all the time to turn articles into HTML code that I then paste into my website template pages. This is one tool you definitely want to bookmark.
Charging Station Review: An Answer To Your Messy Desk
My office desk used to be a confusion and mess of wires, electronic devices and dust. I frequently tried to plug the wrong cord into the wrong device and once fried a cell phone making that mistake. To say the situation was frustrating would be polite… I frequently used four letter words to describe it when I was late for a business appointment and couldn’t untangle my phone from my iPod or my digital camera.
I have finally found the perfect solution: a Charging Station from Vat19. This isn’t just any charging station. It’s an electronics charging valet similar to the one my dad had on his bureau dresser when I was growing up. This neat and nifty gadget charges up to three devices at once while hiding the cords and banishing tangles and dust! If your desk looks like mine used to then you definitely need a Charging Station.
Vat19 has some really unique gift ideas that I have never considered before and now I have my mother’s and father’s day gifts chosen and ready to be delivered.
Free Press Release Site: PR.com
There are dozens of free press release sites but one of my favorites is PR.com. They offer a free version and a paid version. Both will get your news into Google News but the paid version offers a much wider distribution. I’ve primarily used the free version and have good luck getting coverage. All you have to do is setup a free account and start submitting press releases. The site is easy to use and releases are sent out within two or three days. I highly recommend PR.com.
Post Toaster
Post Toaster is a time saving social bookmarking service which includes an option to select sites that do not support the nofollow attribute. I have used Post Toaster twice and liked it well enough but it takes over an hour to make it through all the sites. The nicest feature of Post Toaster is that it offers you the ability to write five different titles and descriptions and rotate them among the social bookmarking sites to make your bookmarks look more unique. My recommendation is that you join and login on all these sites first and then use Post Toaster to add your links. This will save you some time. Post Toaster is easy to use but does take some time.
Search Engine Optimization Checklist Review
This is the first time I’ve reviewed an article for this site but it is a really good article. First of all it is fresh, short and simple. Derek Gehl is an internet expert who has been around for sometime and he wrote this article for PromotionWorld. Derek recommends, in this article, some very simple strategies for getting your pages into the top listings of search engines. Read the article and remember that SEO is an on-going project. Make a note on your calendar to work on your SEO projects once a week or every other week for a few hours. Doing it hit or miss won’t work!
