Orangoo Spell Check allows you to spell check documents and your website for free. Even if you are a good speller, you will want to check out Orangoo Spell Check. This is a free online service that does not require registration for use.

 

Simply cut and paste your text into the text box and click on the link for spell-check. Your misspelled words will be highlighted and when you right click on each word, you are offered suggested spellings or a box that allows you to input your own correction.

An internet marketing company has a free tool called “Website Grader” that is nothing short of amazing.  Hubspot.com helps your company to be found by the right prospects – through search engines, blogs, the blogosphere and social media, all important Internet marketing techniques.  Hubspot also offers free webinars on topics relevant to small and medium sized businesses that are recorded and archived on their site.

The Website Grader is a tool to help you analyze your website.  The grader covers on-page and off-page SEO, domain information, Google page rank, pages indexed by Google, etc.  This is a fascinating report that is completely inclusive and I recommend that you bookmark this tool and use it frequently.

Only Wire Review

Only Wire was one of the first social bookmarking tools that allowed you to submit bookmarks to several different sites.  It’s easy to use.  All you have to do is signup for an account at the social bookmarking sites.  Then you open an Only Wire account and add the logins and passwords for the bookmarking sites.  Next you drag and drop the toolbar button to your browser.  When you pull up a web page that you want to bookmark click the Only Wire button, login and fill out one simple form.  It can’t get easier than this!

Blog Explosion Review: Another Research Tool

There are hundreds of horrible blog directories/catalogs in cyberspace and Blog Explosion is not one of them. This is a neatly design, carefully categorized directory with snapshots of the front page of each listed blog. If you are doing research on a particular topic and don’t want to wade through thousands of Google results visit Blog Explosion, choose your category and skim the blogs. Pick a few that are on topic and click on them. Read a few posts and you’ll find plenty of research material, current opinions and up-to-date news. Just don’t forget to watch the time… blog directories are so much fun that you can spend a whole day just browsing!

Yahoo! Answers is a fascinating site for research and for some subtle marketing.  Sign-up and ask and answer questions.  This kind of question and answer site is very helpful to research what your target market is up to and to get ideas for new products and new marketing campaigns.  If you have a site that is relevant to the question you can sometimes discreetly point to it in your answer.  Read the terms of service first and check it out!

Google Adwords Keyword Tool

This free keyword research tool helps me much more than many of the paid tools have.  You don’t get precise counts per month, week or day but you get an overall trend that shows how popular a keyword or phrase is and how much competition you would have if you purchased the keyword through Adwords.  I only use this data for Adwords for one client.  I use it for meta tag creation and on page keywords for everyone else.  It’s free to use even if you don’t have an Adwords account.
